Rebecca Linford is a journalist and urban affairs writer known for her thoughtful reporting on city life, community resilience, and public policy. A proud Chicago resident for over a decade, Rebecca has built her career telling stories that capture the heart of the city—from neighborhood block parties to breaking news on housing, transit, and public health.
Whether she’s biking along the lakefront, reporting from a City Council meeting, or sipping coffee in Pilsen, Rebecca brings a deep love and curiosity for Chicago to everything she writes. She believes every block has a story—and she’s here to tell it.

Daniel Alvarez is a staff writer with a passion for telling the stories that often go unheard. Raised on Chicago’s Southwest Side, Daniel draws from his community roots to report on issues of equity, labor, housing, and local politics with clarity and compassion.
A graduate of DePaul University’s journalism program, Daniel began his career covering neighborhood news for community papers before joining a major metro newsroom. His reporting style blends investigative depth with an authentic voice shaped by lived experience. Whether he’s profiling a local activist or digging into city budgets, Daniel brings a grounded perspective and a commitment to accountability.
He believes journalism should serve the public, especially communities too often left on the margins—and that every block in Chicago has a story worth telling.

Greg Whitmore is a veteran aviation journalist with more than 25 years of experience covering the aerospace industry, commercial flight trends, and military aviation technology. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Greg got his start writing for regional newspapers before landing a beat with Airspace Weekly in the late ’90s.
Over the years, he’s reported from air shows around the world, covered major Boeing and Airbus developments, and written extensively on pilot labor issues and airline safety. Known for his clear explanations of complex systems and a deep respect for pilots and engineers, Greg brings a steady, informed voice to the fast-moving world of aviation news.
He currently contributes to national outlets and is a regular panelist at industry conferences. When he’s not chasing down a story, you can usually find him plane spotting near O’Hare with a scanner in hand.
